I've never been a huge fan of "Chinese" buffets. Those in the know will realize why I use quotes. ;)
That being said, I've become a huge fan of Buffet City.
They have a HUGE selection of offerings, from Asian inspired, to American dishes, and even a Mongolian style grill to the rear. Things to satisfy the wee-ones too! The sushi bar has always been fresh, and even sports Korean kimchi.
I am very, very, suspicious of buffet sushi, but never once have I experienced bubble guts from eating here.
It's good food for a good value. I keep going back, and will continue to do so unless something changes. I'd love to see what they could pull off for a breakfast buffet! =) Thanks for being awesome! -

Buffet City is a new Chinese, Sushi, Hibachi and seafood buffet open in December, 2018 located in US 41 next to ChuckeCheese. They offer lunch buffet at $9.49 and dinner buffet at $13.49 with discount to senior 62+ and children.
Ample parking space were available. As we walk in for an early dinner, we noticed a pink LED lighted tree in the outside waiting area. Inside they have a round Koi fish pond. Stand next to the pond is a green LED lighted tree! There are three huge separate dining area with the buffet steaming stations in middle. The front station features seaweed salad, kimchi, pickled Daikon, pickled ginger and edamame and an array of sushi, with a small selection Sashimi. Behind the counter, two sushi chefs are busy to keep the sushi in good supply. Eight flavors ice cream are available for self-serve ranging from Chocolate chip mint, strawberry and others.
Peel and eat shrimps and oysters are available sitting on a bed of ice. Lo Mein, fried rice, egg rolls, General Tso Chicken, Beef & Broccoli, Pepper steak and other standard fares are available as well as fried chicken, pizza, ham and roasted beef as well BBQ ribs. Hot soup such as wonton, seafood, egg drop and other were steaming hot but we did not try them.
Crab clusters, mussels, clams, crawfishes, shrimps, fried fish are in sight. Many variations of shrimps are available from Satay, salt and pepper, fried and grilled shrimp.
Lo Mein, egg rolls, dumplings, Bourbon Chicken, sautéed string beans are flavorful.
I noticed that both steamed mussel and clams are boiled with several lemon halves. As you walk back to your table, both mussel and clams dry up and lost its flavor. If you look at their brochure, the mussels are cooked with other ingredients in the picture. Perhaps, this will keep the mussels moist. A better approach is to serve the clam in black bean sauce glaze and garnish with scallion and or jalapeno! BBQ ribs is flavorful but it is tough to chew, this indicated that it is probably overcooked!
The texture in some shrimp feel a little mushy rather than firm!
The rice in some sushi feel hard or under-cooked while others are soft! However, the fishes are fresh. -

I had to try this new buffet in town, especially after my friend said that they had oysters! Upon walking in, the building is clearly new and updated; several decorative trees, chandelier-ish lights, and a koi fish pond highlight the interior. The tables are kept relatively clean, and workers are constantly monitoring the food area. Also, workers will come around to pick up your plates or refill drinks.
For $13.50, the dinner special is incredibly worth it. I ate about two dozen oysters by myself; at a normal restaurant this would already be over $20. Other seafood options included cocktail shrimp, boiled crawfish, mussels, clams. Their sushi bar had a variety of cooked and raw sushi, as well as three sushimi options and some salads. Their cooked foods and desserts were pretty average, like any other buffet, but they did have lamb.
My only complaint is the speed that they refill their items. There were two sushi chefs, but many of the sushimi items and select rolls took a long time to refill; we literally kept our eye on them for our table. They would just throw ice over the oysters, rather than replenishing the dish with more. Their cooked entrees came out occasionally, but only scraps were often left of the popular items. However, I would undoubtedly visit Buffet City again, especially because the price is undefeated. -

Best Chinese Buffet in Fort Myers! Have tried at least a dozen in area (Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples, etc.). Oddly, some of the staples of a Chinese Buffet are lacking - sweet and sour chicken has thick dough so not crispy, egg rolls are overly dense, general Tsaos and bourbon chicken have different flavor than 'typical' Chinese buffets (which is why I give it a 4 instead of 5). That's fine with me as the rest makes up for it! The Hawaiian chicken is my favorite! I'm not a fan of sushi, but my husband is and says it's good. Hundreds of choices including non-Chinese - sushi, Mongolian stir fry, American options (ham, apple pie, pizza, etc.), and a larger than normal cold section/dessert section. (Picture is of one of my husband's plates of sushi).

Has to be the best buffet in Lee county. It is a buffet, so the rating reflects the type of restaurant. Staff is attentive, chefs are putting out fresh food. Price is reasonable.
